Since establishing the independent recording company Six Music Productions with a carefully selected group of talented and committed freelance editors and engineers, Alexander Van Ingen has become regarded as one of the country's finest young record producers. He has built a distinguished client list and a most considerable discography, and has won numerous accolades in the national and international press as well as specialist music publications. His attention to detail and finely attuned skills are valued by a generation of leading conductors and soloists who return to him time and again, confident that they will be guaranteed unconditional dedication and an exceptionally high quality.

Alexander strives to unite the finest attributes of the musician with the best acoustics and equipment available to produce outstanding results. He is employed by major record labels, smaller concerns, independents, and ever more by musicians and ensembles directly. Recent projects have taken him around Europe and across the globe to India, Turkey, Russia, Japan, Italy and Kazakhstan, where he has made recordings for royalty and heads of state with world-class musicians. He has produced recordings for chamber groups of national and international repute and young graduates at the start of a glittering career; Alexander has a natural empathy with choral music which has led him to work frequently with Cathedral choirs, acapella ensembles and accompanied groups.

Resourceful and open-minded, Alexander has worked with all sizes and shapes of ensemble - from solo artists through chamber ensembles to symphony orchestras with soloists, choruses and additional off-stage instrumentation. A trained 'cellist and chorister, he has an extensive knowledge of the string, chamber, orchestral and choral repertoire, ranging from the Renaissance and Baroque though to the most Contemporary music. His recordings can frequently be heard on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, and often feature in the Classical best-seller charts.

Alexander's opinions and advice are sought by many who value his approachability, honesty and integrity. He has travelled extensively as a producer, engineer, and panel member in international competitions; he has advised and executed the equipping of studios in the UK and Kazakhstan; and is often called upon to advise on many aspects of recording, performance and recourses for a successful career in Classical music.
