After graduating from the Center for The Media Arts in 1986, UE Nastasi became a fixture on the recording scene, doing stints as a staff engineer for Skyline Studios, Andora/Smoketree (LA), and Easthill Studios. His credits include diverse acts such as Inroads, Great Red Shark, Brown Bag City, Chemical Wedding and Dan Moratti.

In 1995 UE joined Sterling Sound, assisting to George Marino and worked collaboratively with George on many of his biggest projects until he went on mastering his own projects such as Nashville Pussy's "Say Something Nasty", Biohazard's "Kill Or Be Killed", Mary Fahl's "The Other Side Of Time", They Might Be Giants' "Here Come The 1,2, 3's" and "Cast Your Pod To the Wind", Panic At The Disco's "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out", Bless The Fall's "His Last Walk". UE also mastered projects by Josh Kelly, Gym Class Heroes and Sherwood.
